If The Foundation Fits

Maybelline Fit Me! - Ivory

Hey everyone!
I'm sure everyone has seen the new Fit Me foundation advertised on television and around stores and have contemplated whether or not to purchase it, but, for a while Maybelline were offering free samples via their web page helping you find the shade that is best suited to your skin tone! I jumped at the chance to get a one as I always love to try out foundation to see if it suits my skin and also if it takes well. Due to how expensive  some of them are a free sample is something I truly love as I hate wasting money on products I won't use, and it's always better to try before you buy! I've also heard a lot of  good things about this product so I was really excited waiting for it to arrive, I tried it out as soon as it came and I was not disappointed!

I was so surprised when it came as it was in a small bottle which I think was a generous amount considering it was only a sample, I really dislike when you receive foundation samples or creams which come in sachets as they're a nightmare to even get out and once you use it you can't again. But, since this is in a bottle you can definitely reuse which have been doing! The foundation is in a translucent gel based formula that feels like a liquid and glides onto your skin perfectly, it also gives really good coverage and dries in really fast. It is said to have no waxes or fillers that mask your skin which is nice as nobody likes having gunk on their face. You don't even need that much to completely cover your face which I appreciate as it means it lasts a long time, the only thing I didn't like too much was that it smelled slightly of a baby wipe, but sure enough it does settle down, if it didn't I probably wouldn't use it again as I hate strong smells radiating from my face!

As you can tell from the first photo I am really rather pale (I look terrible, lazy day!) therefore I usually go for  the lightest shade available to me which is usually porcelain, and sometimes it makes me look unwell so I decided to take a risk and go for ivory, and am glad I did so! It doesn't make me look orange at all it just gives a lovely healthy glow of colour and I really like that. I will be going out to purchase this full size when the tester is done and will also invest in the powder and concealer. Overall this product is good and I'am very pleased with it, even with the minor flaw!

Have a lovely Sunday!
