Rimmel lasting finish lipstick - Red Fever

Hey everyone!
This lipstick has to be one of my favorites, it's an absolutely beautiful colour and is just lovely to wear. However I do have to admit that I am always a tad bit wary of wearing a red like this as it is so vivid you never know if you'll pull it off just right. I originally purchased this lipstick a year ago to match a birthday outfit and haven't really worn it since then, I feel it's more of a winter shade as apposed to summer, therefore throughout this month I have been wearing it rather a lot! And, no doubt it will be making an appearance on Christmas day and of course New Year!

The colour pigmentation is amazing, hands down. It's such a bright red and is so matte It just looks perfect once it's applied, this red has to be the best that I've ever used/came across. Although if it gets onto your skin (area around the lips) it does slightly stain so watch out! The texture is so lovely and creamy it feels very nourishing and it really does feel like your lips are getting moisturized which is perfect, I love not having to apply a gloss just to get a nourished look. The smell of this lipstick is very pleasant and 'delicious' much like many other Rimmel lipsticks that I've came across, it's sort of fruity and sweet but isn't too overpowering, a real treat for your nose too!

In my last lipstick post which was on Pink Blush I mentioned it was a lasting finish lipstick and it's staying power left a lot to be desired, however this lipstick was not like that at all, it lasted so much longer than I'd expected, it really does live up to it's 'lasting finish' title! It does transfer very easily as it's so rich but who doesn't love a good old lip stain on their glass? Overall it's a fabulous product and I love it. It's also a dupe to  mac's Russian Red so save yourself some money and try this baby out!

I'm also very pale in regards to my complexion and I know how frustrating it is to wear colours that are very bright and very dark without looking utterly ridiculous so wearing this the first few times was a challenge, it did take me a while to feel confident and comfortable wearing it and also teaming it with the right make up. Nude shadow with winged liner really compliments this lipstick and that is usually how I wear my makeup with this lipstick! So all you pale beauties out there can pull this off, go for it!

Have a lovely Thursday evening.

Barry M Nail Paint - Mushroom

Hey Dolls.
If you've been following my blog for some time now then you may know I have an undying love for Barry M nail paints, this is the only brand that I really use as I feel its just the best for me, I love it. The range of colours is fantastic and I'm always finding new shades to add to my ever growing collection, and who doesn't love having a rather large collection of nail varnishes? One to match every outfit! I also adore the packaging, it looks so clean, neat and pretty especially how there is a small gap at the bottom and sides so it looks like it's floating, the best thing about this polish is they're only £2.99, which is so affordable for anyone!

The colour that I have on in the photos is called 'Mushroom' and is one of my favorite colours of all time, I can't even begin to think about how many times I've repurchased it, it's just the perfect colour. It's a dark nude kind of colour and just goes with anything. I really recommend this colour as it will suit anyone.

I'm sorry this post was rather short, I've been so ill the past few days and just haven't felt up to even opening the laptop! Hope you're all having a lovely week!

What's In My Bag?

Sunday 25 November 2012

Make up Bag / Purse / Mittens / Vaseline / Cocoa Lip Butter/ Keys Hair grips / Bobble / Cath Kidston Hand Cream / Ted Baker Mini Body Spray/ Glasses Case / Jekyll and Hyde Book / Pen / Nintendo 3DS / Hairbrush / iPod / Earphones / Natural Collection Body Spray.

Hey everyone!
I've been seeing quite a few of these posts floating around lately and thought I'd do one myself, I've always been curious about what people carry around in their bags as I tend to pack quite a lot in mine so I love to see posts like this! What content goes into my bag varies on  daily basis but this is everything that has been lurking in my bag recently. The bag is just from Primark and I think was around £9.00, I did a review on the bag which you can find here.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Koalas and Studs

Koala studded collar shirt / Nude studded loafers - Primark

Hey everyone!
Over the past few months as I've been trailing around Primark I've felt they have really outdone themselves in regards to what pieces they've been stocking. I'm sure everyone is sick to death of seeing studs absolutely everywhere and on anything that they can be attached to, but I can't get enough, I just love studs and even more so lately! I spotted this shirt on the back wall and loved it, alongside this was a pug print shirt which I also loved but unfortunately when I tried it on it looked terrible on me so I stuck with the Koala print, and am so glad I did because I've been wearing it so much! It was also pretty cheap, £12, I feel it looks way more expensive! I also spotted these stunning studded loafers which I just melted at, they are so perfect. I've been looking for a pair of nude studded loafers for a while now so you can probably imagine my excitement when I saw these, they also had them in a 3 (hoora!) and they were only £10! I don't know about anybody else out there who's a size 3, but I find it extremely difficult to find my size, so I'm super happy Primark have organised their shoes with coloured labels so they're easy to find, they have a pinky red label so I just look out for that now!

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday evening!

Review: Rimmel Pink Blush Lipstick

Tuesday 20 November 2012

Hey everyone!
Recently I have been absolutely loving this lipstick and have been wearing it non-stop for the past few weeks, I think it's safe to say I just can't get enough! I actually got this product a little more than a month ago but have only started wearing it recently as I wasn't too keen on it in regards to the first few wears, but, now that I've been wearing it more I absolutely love it and it's always my go-to colour! I feel it just goes with every look and would suit any skin tone.

The texture of this lipstick is very creamy, that similar to a lip butter, it also feels as if it is moisturizing my lips and helps them feel hydrated which I love as I just can't bear to wear a lipstick that dries out your lips in a matter of hours! The colour pigmentation is great, it's a very girly pink that doesn't scream Barbie bright, it's very subtle but also pretty enough to make an impression. I also can't emphasis enough about the delightful smell this has, it smells very sweet and fruity which makes a pleasant change from other lipsticks that don't really have a smell to them.

However, despite all the brilliant points about this lipstick it is described as a 'lasting finish' which is supposed to last up to 8 hours, I unfortunately find myself having to reapply after around 2 hours of wear but I guess this is a small price to pay for such an amazing product!

Jeffrey Campbell Lita Dupes

Sunday 18 November 2012

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted to share my complete undeniable love for these fantastic Lita Dupes, I just can't sequel enough about how fabulous they are! In my last post which was my birthday haul I mentioned that I had gotten a pair of Lita Dupes, I actually purchased them myself with the money I had received.  I was initially planning on buying real Litas but just couldn't justify £120 for them so I took to the internet to try and find the perfect pair of dupes possible, and let me tell you I was so persistent that I even managed to find a site via Hong Kong selling them at £10, I didn't trust the site however and simply began searching again. I really wanted a pair that looked like Litas without the crazy price tag, and from somewhere that I knew was trustworthy. I probably searched through hundreds of sites before I came across these beauties on Boohoo.com, I purchased them right away with no regrets, I couldn't believe I'd finally found them!

These Lita Dupes are so perfect, they look just like real ones you can't even notice the differences as they are so sparse, you'd need to examine them very closely to see. Obviously the zip on the side is a big difference but I really do love having a zipper as I struggle to put on shoes with this design as my instep is high so having a zip makes my life with shoes so much easier, you really can't see the zip once there on! These shoes are also extremely comfy, I really doubted that they would be but I was so surprised  when I put them on, I didn't even feel like I was wearing heels, they're also some of the easiest shoes that I have ever walked in. I've had them on all day today shopping and commuting and they did me so much justice! The best thing of all is that they were only £35! I also was sneaky and used my brothers Unidays account to received a 10% discount which brought the total to £35.49 including posting and packaging!

They also arrived super fast as I ordered them on Monday and they arrived on Friday! Boohoo have really had a positive influence on me, the quality of the shoe is fantastic, they arrived in perfect time, and they had them in a size 3. I'm so glad that I bought them and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of Lita Dupes, they also provide them in suede and various other colours!

Hey everyone!
So, as you may know it was my birthday last week, the ol' 1-6! I am now officially an 'adult' however this has not made me feel any older, I still love childish things and I always will! My birthday this year was very small and I really didn't do much except go to Nandos, there was cake of course, and singing.. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening and am so glad it was a quiet one as I really do hate being made a fuss of, I never have done!

I also thought I'd do a haul to share with you all what I got for my birthday! - Please don't feel that I'm bragging or that I'm showing off, this post was requested and I always love seeing other peoples hauls so why not? Dive on in! My main present was a new laptop, however it hasn't been bought yet as I am paying half myself. I also got some amazing Lita dupes which I will be doing my next post on! I'd like to apologies for the poor image quality, they didn't look like that on small screen (grrr)!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Oh, speaking of my birthday I will be posting a haul very soon probably sometime during this weekend of things I received and have bought. Although I am slightly battling with the idea as I don't want anyone to think I'm showing off or bragging, so let me know if that would be something you might like to see!

Review: Rimmel Gel Eyeliner

Saturday 10 November 2012

Rimmel London - Waterproof Gel Eyeliner

Hey everyone!
Today I thought I would do a review on this eyeliner that I recently purchased. I'm really quite new to gel eyeliners as I've always just used liquid, but, as it so happens I ran out of every liquid liner I had to my name. I was literally scraping the sides to get even the tiniest amount out, and so with that it was off to Boots to purchase a new liner! I've seeing and hearing a lot of good about gel eyeliners so I thought I'd jump in and finally try one out for myself. My usually liquid eyeliners are Rimmel so I stuck with the brand as I knew I liked the liquid formula. So the verdict?

I must say, I absolutely loved it! I'm so glad that I decided to try this out and I really feel I won't be returning to liquid liners and, in fact, will be purchasing gel liners from here on out. I feel that this product has such a good design as the applicator brush is inside the lid, so all you need to do is pull it out and apply your liner  I will however say that the applicator is quite small and I would have preferred a longer handle but nonetheless  the applicator is good. The brush is a good shape for application as it gives a really thin even line which can be built up for a more dramatic look and if turned on it's side provides an excellent angle to create effortless winged liner which I tend to wear most days.

And the bad? I hear you ask. Well, this product does take a rather long time to dry and if you dare to blink it's easily transferred onto the brow bone, this is easily wiped away however so it's not to much of an issue.   The colour density is fantastic and is very black but i'd suggest applying a few times as it does go on slightly wet and ever so slightly off-black and does tend to need to be re-applied throughout the day only if it's quite hot though.

Overall, I think that this is a nifty idea. Gel eyeliners are a fantastic product, but often expensive, so I was happy to hear Rimmel had brought out a cheaper alternative, even for £6.49. This was my first gel liner so I'm happy with the results and it's now prompted me to try out different gel liners in the future. Hope you're all having a good weekend!
